The Celebratory Fund of the Turku University is a Competitive Investment Alternative

In the year 2000, a mutual investment fund in honour of the 80th anniversary of the University of Turku was established by the Turku University Foundation, in cooperation with the Fides Rahastoyhtiö Oy. The Fides sector fund, i.e. the Anniversary Fund of the University of Turku, is a competitive investment alternative for private individuals as well as corporations. At the same time it offers a unique means for supporting the activities of the University of Turku. Of the 1.6 % management fee charged by the fund, 0.8 % is used to support the University of Turku. By the end of 2001, the mutual investment fund amounted to 3.8 million euros and the support channelled to the University of Turku from the management fees exceeded 20 000 euros.
